Instead of summoning ghouls, the Lich King will summon a Va'kyr Shadowguard. Phase two is the legendary val'kyr phase of the fight. The Raging Spirit should be faced away from the casters in your raid to avoid Soul Shriek silencing the raid. Spread your raid out to avoid too much Pain and Suffering damage, and kill the ice spheres as soon as they spawn. This will be your first time with the transitions. Check out the video for more information.

To handle the plague, the person with the debuff should go to where the tank and off-tank is handling the Horrors and Ghouls, so that the Plague jumps to the NPCs when the plague is dispelled. Necrotic Plague does an immense amount of damage to its target, and will jump from the original target to a new unit if the plague is dispelled or the target dies. You will also be introduced to Necrotic Plague, which is the major gimmick of phase one.

In phase one, you will be introduced to Shambling Horrors and Drudge Ghouls. However, for most raids, the goal is to not die to Defile. However, in the quick summary version: the goal of the Lich King encounter is to dwindle his health before the platform crumbles entirely away beneath you. In addition, the transitions between phases themselves act like additional phases. Each phase transition enjoys a handful of things to pay attention to, but the fun doesn't stop there.
